Global Urbanisation moves towards the Sea

On a daily basis 150.000 people migrate from the rural areas and settle them selves in a city around the world. The predictions are that around the year 2100 around 4.5 Billion people will live in Urban areas. This means huge pressure on the demand for building sites around the globe. predictions are that in about 40 years there will be a shortage of  around 22 million square Km of landmass to develop cities, this is roughly an area as big as North America. And Since the biggest Cities in the world are build on the waterfront. To name a view: Tokio, Manilla, New York, Calcutta and São Paolo. This makes them vulnerable to rising sea levels and creates the necessity  to invent and create alternatives to living on land..
