with Catamaran Apartments

The project by Salt & Water of a floating hotel with catamaran-apartments was developed with the aim to promote tourism on inland waters with it’s wonderful untouched nature. Since no permanent structure is needed this is again a good example of a
scarless construction.

When passing through the central floating lobby, guests reach the pathways that interconnect the apartment catamarans. Each apartment is actually an innovatively designed catamaran which can be easily disconnected from the dock and roam freely over the inland waters to give a unique private island sense, allowing guests to choose the perfect location for their vacation all by themselves.

Every Catamaran consists of a salon, a galley, a bathroom, a hall with storage space and a sleeping area (above the salon). Each apartment can accommodate op to 4 people, thanks to the possibility of converting the salon into a double bed. From the beach platform one has easy access to the water for swimming, diving, fishing and sun bathing.

Salt & Water is a design studio specializing in yacht design, both the interior and exterior design. On top of that, they have been successfully applying their extensive practical knowledge on various design projects such as interior design of private jets, as well as interior and exterior design of different types of residential and commercial buildings.

They are a team of young award-wining professionals recognized for their innovative design solutions.

This is easily seen on the finish of the Catamaran Apartments inside as well as the design and use of materials on the outside. High quality materials as wood, glass and Corian are used in and out.[/fusion_text]
